Dog with Dog Bowl

Just like humans, having a proper diet and a strong exercise routine is important for your pooch, especially if you want to ensure that he or she has a long, happy, and healthy life. But should you notice a change in your pet’s diet, it’s time to take a closers look at your dog’s overall health.

Loss of appetite can be a serious problem for your pet and can be a very telling symptom of severe health problems. Digestive problems, allergies, or pain in the mouth, teeth, or throat can cause your pet to stop eating – and each of these issues should be confirmed and examined by a veterinarian. Once you figure out what’s making your dog lose his taste for kibble, you can then remedy the problem.

If it’s an allergy or digestive issue, your dog may not be getting enough enzymes and nutrients he needs to properly process his food. By adding Dinovite to your dog’s food, you could be helping to reduce the issue as this dog supplement is packed with nutrients and enzymes your dog needs to digest properly.

If it’s pain or something more severe, it’s best dealt with by a veterinarian. Trying to treat a painful sore or digestive issue could actually result in more harm to your dog’s health. Leave it up to the professionals. The best thing that you can do is keep a watchful eye on your dog’s health.

Cut Down On SheddingComment RSS

Dog in Dog Bed

Spring is usually the prime time for shedding, but with a few simple adjustments, you can work to collect, cutback, and contain the fur from your friend. After all, who wants a house filled with dander and allergens when the great outdoors is already filled with things to make you sneeze? Here’s a few things to think about:

When Adopting a Dog

Shedding is going to vary in different dog breeds, so if you’re looking to adopt a new pet, keep that in mind. Long-haired dogs like Afghan hounds and poodles tend to shed a bit less than some of the shorter hair varieties like Labrador retrievers or bull dogs. However, most long haired dogs require a lot of attention to keep their coats looking beautiful.

If You Already Have a Dog
If you already have a dog, you can cut down on the amount of hair that gets on your furniture and clothing by grooming in easy to clean up areas like your yard or garage. When giving your dog a bath, remember to put some elbow grease into it. With vigorous shampooing, rinsing, wiping down and combing out, the hair will shed in the tub, rather than your living room. Also, regular brushing can help to cut down on the amount of hair that your dog sheds while scratching or grooming himself.

For Excessive Shedding
If your pet is shedding excessively, it could be a symptom of a serious health problem. Keep an eye out for flaking, rashes, bald spots, or abnormal coat appearance. All of these symptoms could indicate a problem with your dog’s nutrition, external parasites, hormones, or even an allergy. Visit your veterinarian and try the natural remedy of DinoviteDinoDi to stop the shedding before it becomes a serious issue.

Dog Working

In just a few weeks, you and your pooch can find yourselves side by side on the job. On June 26th, companies around the world with celebrate Take Your Dog to Work Day, an occasion that’s sure to be something to bark about at your office!

Dedicated to raising awareness about pet adoptions through bringing your pet to work and by asking a local shelter to bring animals, Take Your Dog to Work Day is a great opportunity for you to educate your coworkers on the need for dog adoptions and how they can get involved in helping their furry friends. To organize an event at your workplace, talk to your coworkers and management team to see if there are any allergies or objections to the event. Discuss the benefits and merits that this type of event can offer with your HR department. If all goes well there, it’s time to contact a local shelter or humane society to see what dogs they can bring to your office so that coworkers can adopt.

Finally, get your dog ready to come to work by bringing along a leash, a water dish, some food, and maybe a toy or two. If you’re afraid that your pup may not be able to handle it, may misbehave, or if you lack a place to take him out for potty breaks, it may just be better to leave your pooch at home. Either way, get into the spirit of the occasion and try organizing an event at your workplace later this month!
